Loft Insulation

It’s well known that heat rises, but did you know that a typical house loses 25% of heat through the roof.* This makes it easy to see how properly insulating your loft can help to keep your home warm, and reduce your heating costs. For best results the insulation should be fitted by a professional, this will ensure the correct thickness is laid, covering the joists, hatch, any tanks or pipes that need insulating, and ensuring that the loft is still adequately ventilated afterwards. Of course a professional company will also have insurance, and all technicians will be fully trained. This means the riskof damage to the ceilings or roof is minimal, but any damage that does occur will be covered by their insurance. If you have attic bedrooms ask us about room in roof insulation.

Remember, 25% of your homes heat is lost through the roof* we always recommend a new 270mm layer of loft insualtion or top up to at least 270mm, which could save you up to £240 a year* on your heating costs.

Cavity Wall Insulation

You may be surpised to learn that even more heat is lost through the walls of your house than the roof, a staggering 35% of heat is lost through the walls of a typical house!*

Cavity wall insulation is not bad for your walls, however there may be some work that needs doing to your property prior to insulation works commencing to ensure you will not have a problem once the installation is installed. We only use Thermabead bonded bead for our installations, unlike some fibre wool products this is suitanle for homes in Zone 4 (Areas with severe exposure to wind driven rain) and does not ‘sag’ under its own weight – so you won’t get cold spots in years to come. If your exterior walls are damaged, or you have a problem in the cavity itself, our thorough survey will highlight areas that need attention before insulation can be installed. This way we can be sure that as long you maintain your home like normal, your home will be more efficient, cost less to heat, and you will have no problem with your walls following installation. As standard our service also includes checking the property has sufficient ventialation, making good drill holes, and a 25 year CIGA Guarantee.

Cavity Wall Insulation is installed from the outside of the property wherever possible, you will not need to redecorate following installation.

Remember, 35% of your homes heat is lost through the walls* we always recommend the installation of cavity wall insulation, which can save you up to £275 a year* on your heating costs.
